    Open Reverse Contact in the ChatGPT plugin directory and click Add.

  2. Approve the consent page

    Sign in to Reverse Contact and approve: a dedicated API key is created for the connector.

How do I add Reverse Contact to ChatGPT?

Open Reverse Contact in the ChatGPT plugin directory and click Add. A Reverse Contact consent page opens: approve it and the connector is live, with a dedicated API key created for it.

Can I add it by hand instead?

Yes. Enable Developer mode under Settings, Connectors, Advanced settings (it needs a paid ChatGPT plan), then create a connector named Reverse Contact with the server URL https://api.reversecontact.com/mcp and keep the authentication on OAuth.

Does it use my Reverse Contact credits?

Yes, exactly as the API would. Each tool ChatGPT calls is billed to your workspace like the matching API request. You can ask ChatGPT for your remaining balance at any time. See pricing for the cost of each request.

Which data can ChatGPT access?

Only what its tools return: people and company profiles, search results, the status of a live lookup and your usage. It has no tool for your lists, your API keys or your payment details, and it only calls a tool when your request needs one.

Why does a fresh lookup not answer straight away?

A live lookup scrapes the profile again rather than reading the cached copy, so it runs as a job. ChatGPT gets a task id at once and can check on it later in the conversation. Jobs often finish within tens of seconds, but some take several minutes.

Does it work in Codex too?

Yes. Codex connects to the same MCP server; the setup command is in the MCP guide.
